Emerging IoT Researches and Technologies
The IoT Week will give the floor to high level speakers on IoT-related hot topics. It will present the latest developments and trends in IoT research and innovation. These sessions will highlight emerging technologies, solutions and trends in the IoT landscape, as well as societal challenges, such as personal data protection and end-user adoption. More info
IoT and Sustainable Development
The IoT Week will closely cooperate with the ITU and the UN system to review and address the potential of the Internet of Thing to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN, including topics such as water management, smart cities, industry, climate change, biodiversity, etc. This track will be concluded by the joint adoption with the ITU of an International Declaration on the Internet of Things for Sustainable Development. These sessions will introduce the thematic issues at stake with the participation of international organizations and present various IoT-based approaches and visions with a multi-stakeholder approach. IoT Security & Privacy
The IoT Week will address the emerging trends and challenges related to IoT security and privacy, including inter alia emerging security threats, as well as the impact of the newly adopted European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the IoT sector. More info
IoT Business, Finance, and Industry 4.0
The IoT Week will discuss emerging trends in the IoT market and prospective views, including industry 4.0, finance, investment strategies and business models.
It will explore emerging business models and current financial needs and requirements to support start-ups and IoT market growth. More info
The IoT Week will organize a hackathon providing the opportunity for developers to demonstrate their ability and maestria to achieve the challenge that will be proposed to them. More info

IEEE Global IoT Summit (GIoTS) – scientific publications
A new IEEE conference will be collocated with the IoT Week: the GIoTS is piloted and will be independently managed by the IEEE Subcommittee on the Internet of Things. It will select top level peer-reviewed IoT-related scientific articles encompassing the latest research results. Submission of scientific articles has to be made through the IEEE GIoTS website.
