The IoT Week will be organized over 4 days, including a first pre-conference day. It will include:

Emerging IoT Researches and Technologies

The IoT Week will give the floor to high level speakers on IoT-related hot topics. The event will present the latest developments and trends in IoT research and innovation by highlighting emerging technologies, solutions and trends in the IoT landscape and societal challenges (such as personal data protection and end-user adoption).

IoT and Sustainable Development

The IoT Week will closely cooperate with the ITU and the UN system to review and address the potential of the Internet of Thing to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN, including topics such as water management, smart cities, industry, climate change, biodiversity, etc.
These sessions will introduce the thematic issues at stake with the participation of international organizations and present various IoT-based approaches and visions with a multi-stakeholder approach.
This track will be concluded by the joint adoption with the ITU of an International Declaration on the Internet of Things for Sustainable Development.

IoT Security & Privacy

The IoT Week will address the emerging trends and challenges related to IoT security and privacy, including inter alia emerging security threats, as well as the impact of the newly adopted European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the IoT sector.

IoT Business, Finance, and Industry 4.0

The IoT Week will discuss emerging trends in the IoT market and prospective views, including industry 4.0, finance, investment strategies and business models.

Social event

The banquet will take place on Thursday 8 June May 2009 on board of the boat “Lausanne”. You will have the opportunity to discover the Lake Léman (Geneva Lake) and the splendor of the Alps mountains. Dinner will be served on board.
