A new IEEE conference – Global IoT Summit (GIoTS) will be co-located with the IoT Week 2017 in Geneva.

The GIoTS is piloted and will be independently managed by the IEEE Subcommittee on the Internet of Things. It will select top level peer-reviewed IoT-related scientific articles encompassing the latest research results.

This conference brings together researchers from diversely cross-disciplinary areas to address challenges in the emerging discipline. Co-located with 2017 IoT Week organized by the IoT Forum, GIoTS2017 discusses the recent advances in Internet of Things and the feasibility of extending IoT, including wireless sensor network technology, to become truly ubiquitous with new Cloud computing technologies, Big data analysis, citizen engagement and Governance.
The detailed programme of the event is in process and will be published later.

The 2017 Global IoT Summit (GIoTS) seeks contributions on how to nurture and cultivate IoT technologies and applications for the benefit of society, cross-domain studies that address the challenges of IoT, including emerging and disruptive technologies, and prospective analysis.

Original papers are solicited in, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • IoT Enabling Technologies
  • IoT Applications, Services and Real Implementations
  • IoT Multimedia IoT Societal Impacts
  • Security and Privacy for Internet of Things
  • IoT Experimental Results and Deployment Scenarios

Participants interested to attend and submit scientific articles to the IEEE Global IoT Summit have to register directly on the GIOTS website.

GIoTS 2017 will be hosting a series of special sessions and workshops and invites the submission of special session and workshop proposals. They should emphasize on current topics relevant to the IoT community on the latest research, engineering, standards and business issues and should include a mix of regular and invited presentations. Special Sessions should complement the regular program with new and emerging topics of interest.

For more information, visit the official GIoTS website.

GIoTS 2017 will be also hosting Industry Forum Panel Sessions. Presentation in Industrial Forum will be panelist based and panel presentation material will not be published in conference proceedings but will be available in the conference web site.

For more information, visit the official GIoTS website.

GIoTS registration includes a pass to the IoT Week sessions, but the IoT Week registration does not allow to submit article and to take full part in the IEEE GIoTS sessions.

The paid registration fees are not refundable, except in case of complete conference cancelling or in case of decision by the organizers to refuse a registration already paid.
